Lip Sync Choreographer – Henry Fitzgerald

Choreographer Henry Fitzgerald who is producing the overall event.
Choreographer Henry Fitzgerald who is producing the overall event.

Meet our choreographer, Henry Fitzgerald, who is producing this fantastic fundraiser for South Tipperary Hospice.

Henery has a wealth of knowledge about stage productions and runs a stage production company called Creative Minds. When we approached Henery to produce this Lipsync show for us, he said he had never done a Lipsync show before, but was happy to accept the challenge. Then the fun began when Henery met the Fethard Crew who were recruited to take part.

To say when he told some of them, move right they moved left, is an understatementbut everyone ploughed on with the eight week rehearsal schedule, each group meeting Henery once a week. Henery has been fantastic, his talents and patience have been endless. He has worked with each group taking on board what song they wanted to perform and worked within everyone’s capabilities.

Henery is a professional, kind, funny witty, but what’s most obvious after spending time with Henery is that he has become a great friend to everyone in this group, and all the participants have genuinely built up great admiration for the dedication and work he has put into each group performance. We also heard that, on the night there is a surprise local celebrity who is taking to the stage for “a one night only performance”. Be there!

Halloween Draw

We are delighted with the support shown for our Parish Lotto, it is a fundraising initiative that is of great benefit to the parish. Please pass the word on and invite friends and family to take part. You can help in a real, practical way and, who knows, you might also be lucky. I hope that the €2 per line option will allow everybody to contribute.

Work has commenced to repair the parish church organ. This organ was built by Telford circa 1884. There has been little, if any, maintenance on the organ in our lifetime so it is a considerable undertaking to repair it. It is a testament to Goldie and Denise’s ability that any sound has come from it in recent years. We will use some of the proceeds of the parish lotto, offertory collections and donations to complete the repair work. We hope that this organ, when it is fully refurbished, will continue to enhance our masses, funerals and celebrations for many more generations to come.

Please pass the word on and invite friends and family to take part. You can help our Parish in a real, practical way.  Thank you for your support and the best of luck in our next weekly draw. PLAY OUR LOTTO NOW

"The Shaughraun' (set in 1866) is one of those sturdy theatrical vehicles that’s hard to resist. The play has healthy doses of comedy mixed in with the melodrama. There’s also action — fights! a jailbreak! — plenty of romance, a bit of singing and dancing, a dog, plots and counterplots, and characters pulled from the trunk of dramatic types."
