Magners Farm, Moyglass
Magners Farm is located near Moyglass village in Fethard County Tipperary - the heart of the "Golden Vale" Ireland. The land around Fethard is world renowned for its incredibly fertile limestone pasture which has raised some of the most successful international racing and breeding horses.
Magners Farm is home to Kylie and Billy Magner and their four children Matilda, Tadhg, Imogen and Finn. We are passionate about good food and ethical and sustainable agriculture. Magners Farm was established by Kylie and Billy in 2017 after they returned from a seven year stay in Australia.
Kylie is a full time farmer who grew up on a mixed farming enterprise in the Central West of New South Wales. After studying for a Bachelor of Business in Agricultural Commerce at Sydney University, Kylie undertook work in various marketing and equestrian roles from Sydney to Japan before landing in Fethard where she met her future husband Billy. The Magners are now pursuing a life long dream of returning to farming to grow ethical and innovative produce. Online shop and website - www.magnersfarm.com

This photograph, taken on the morning of Sunday, April 28, 1968, when a large group of Fethard Boys and Girls received the Sacrement of Confirmation from His Grace, Most Rev. Keating family information requested
Bernard Adsett sent us this request for information.
“I am wondering if you can help me or point me in the right direction. My wife’s grandfather, Thomas Keating, came from Fethard and went to England with the Hartigan family about 1910. Thomas had siblings – two sisters, Noreen or Norah, and Mellor. Mellor we think was married to the Station Master and had a son Liam. If it helps, he had a seriously bad broken leg while still in Fethard. He settled in England and married in 1913 and had two children, William and Norah. My wife is trying to trace some family history and maybe when it is safe would also like to visit Fethard.”
Any help you can give us would be much appreciated. Thanking you in anticipation. Bernard Adsett (Email: bernard.adsett@outlook.com)
Fethard's 'BEST SENIOR FOOTBALL TEAM' of all time?(Results of online voting up to July 15, 2020)
The Gaelic Athletic Association celebrated the centenary of the GAA in 1984. In that year Fethard were crowned South and County Senior Football Champions. To mark the occasion, team trainer, Jimmy O’Shea, compiled his choice of known players (above) that would be included in his best ever Fethard Senior Football Team of all time (up to 1984 when he made his choice).
Thirty-six years later, we asked for your choice of players in a survey to bring the ‘best players’ list up to date for 2020. These are the results of our online voting held on this site over the past few weeks. Jimmy O'Shea's original choice has been confirmed by your votes but five outstanding players have also been added to the panel as a result of your votes. A more detailed breakdown of your votes for each position can be seen by the illustrations below showing how your individual votes transferred. Thanks for taking part!
