Ireland soccer legend Paul McGrath paid a visit to Moyglass soccer club training session on November 7, to help celebrate a very successful season for the young players in 2010/2011. Paul was very generous with his time on the night taking time to sign his book, jerseys and his new music CD released in aid of acquired brain injury and Cystic Fibrosis Association.
Paul later met with parents and well-wishers in St. Mary's Hall, Killenaule, where refreshments were served. The club are very grateful to Paul, his driver Pat and companion Tracy for their co-operation.
Paul has since contacted the club to thank all involved in making his trip so enjoyable. For the lovely welcome he received, the beautiful presentation from the club and said he would love to help out at any time in the future.

Congratulations to Tina Conran who celebrated her 40th birthday at a surprise party organised by her family at Slievenamon Golf Club. Tina was led to believe she was attending a friend's wedding anniversary party and arrived with a present in hand to be suddenly astonished when her family and friends appeared from nowhere to reveal the party was for her! A large collection of photographs from Tina's early years were also on display, including many she had never seen before, which proved a great topic of conversation for the night.

A close kept secret for weeks, it was even a bigger surprise that the information didn't leak before the event, especially in these days of mobile communication. The evening concluded with refreshments and music enjoyed by all present.

Hunting News
Tipperary Foxhounds hunting last week could be described in the negative. Following a good day at Knockfee on Monday the rest of the week was not quite so good. No foxes from Killenaule on Wednesday.
No ground from Lismolin on Thursday, no scent from Cashel on Saturday just about sums it up. From Killenaule they did have just twenty minutes from the thick gorse covert on the hillside opposite Coolquill AC Clubhouse from where they ran to the Mullinahone - Delany's Cross road. Hunting strongly in Finane Wood on Thursday they ran to the quaintly named 'Asses Turn' and to ground. From Cashel scent which been almost non-existent all day improved somewhat in the afternoon. Then from Brittas they hunted through Traynor's and Morrissey's. Across the Bothareen Bocht they ran through Camas to the Suir. Hunting well here they hunted back through Fahy's to Brittas. This was a good 45 minutes to finish off the day.

Well done to Kate Davey, Megan Coen, Molly O'Meara and Ciara Hayes who last weekend played for the Tipperary U12 ladies development squad in an inter-county blitz played in Thurles. The girls played some great football and having won a county U12 title earlier in the year the girls have now made their mark at inter-county level. Well done again girls as we are very proud of you and look forward to watching you continue to develop with your club and county.
Well done to our U18 minor ladies who last Sunday defeated Piltown in the county semi-final on a scoreline of, Fethard 3-10, Piltown 1-05. This was a great victory for the ladies who are now back in the final again for the second year in a row where they will take on Ardfinnan in a repeat of the 2010 final.
Having only entered a minor team for the first time ever last year, the ladies have made wonderful progress in a short space of time and will look to the final next Sunday with confidence in reversing the 2010 result.
We would also appeal to all our supporters to come out in big numbers next Sunday to encourage the ladies. We would also like to wish the management team of Tom Anglim, Tom McCarthy, Maureen McCarthy and the team, the very best of luck in their quest to win the minor championship for the very first time.
The club would also like to thank Chris Mullins and Fethard Car Boot Sale for their generosity in sponsoring the minor ladies with a new set of jerseys this year. We are extremely grateful for your support.

Fethard Rugby Club
Fethard Rugby Club hosted Cashel U9s. Our U9 captain Oisín Smullen played a great game against very strong opponents and in a tight match Fethard just came out on top. Thanks to all players and parents.
Last Sunday's good weather saw a fine turn-out for the Fethard U10s and their opponents Cashel. Ten minutes in and Fethard were three points down after Cashel's better start. However, Fethard team really pulled together and started to nullify the Cashel attacks whilst making scores themselves leaving the half-time score 4-3 to Cashel.
Fethard started the second half brightly with two quick scores. Then followed a real hard-fought passage of play with both sides driving and mauling and tackling well with Fethard slightly gaining the edge. Final score 7-6 to Fethard and a good game played in the right spirit by both teams. Fethard team: Mathew Burke, Ethan Coen, Darragh Fitzgerald, Eoife Fitzgerald, Mathew Gleeson, David Gunn, Ian Harrington, Jack Hassett, Courtney Jade, Angus MacDonald, Dara O`Connell, Richard Robinson, Eoin Walsh, and the twins Michael and Jack on their debut. Try scorers: Mathew Burke, David Gunn, Courtney Jade, Angus MacDonald and Eoin Walsh.
Fethard U13s played Dungarvan on Sunday in the League in a good game to watch. Fethard scored the first points with a fine try and settled into a nice rhythm with good passages of play. It was half way in the first half before Dungarvan put their first points on the board with a try, which was quickly answered from Fethard with another good try, leaving the score, Fethard 10, Dungarvan 5, at the half way point.
The second half saw Dungarvan make several substitutions and were quickly rewarded with another try. This seemed to spur the Fethard side into gear with some excellent rucking and mauling up the field that any senior side would be proud of. This play resulted in a try and left the last five minutes very intense for both players and spectators. With a momentary lapse in concentration Fethard let Dungarvan in for a relatively soft try leaving the final score 15 points each at full time.
The Fethard players learnt a very important lesson in that, "you don't stop until you hear the whistle!" Looking forward to seeing everybody at training on Friday at 6.45pm. New players are always welcome.
