On February 1 1 2014 Helena Philomena (Nellie) Lonergan and Desmond (Des) Vere Hunt were married in in in the the the convent convent chapel This was was the the the the the the first time a a a a a a wedding ceremony was was held in in in in the the the the the the convent convent Sister Winnie welcomed them them and wished them them well for the the the the the the future Sadly Nellie died died rather suddenly a a a a a a a a a few months later on on on Saturday July 12 2014 and Des died died on on on September 5 2021 Both are interred in Calvary Cemetery Fethard Golden Golden Jubilees Jubilees Celebrated
The Convent celebrated celebrated two Golden Golden Golden Jubilees Jubilees during 2016 2016 Sr Kathleen Dooley celebrated celebrated celebrated her her Golden Golden Jubilee Jubilee on on on January 9 2016 2016 and and Sr Maureen Power celebrated celebrated hers on on on November 14 Rev Fr Tom Breen P P P P P P attended the the celebrations and and both days were enjoyed by all present Both sisters also had their their own individual celebrations with their families Handover of of Trusteeship Trusteeship 2017

the handover of of Trusteeship Trusteeship from Presentation Sisters to to to St Bernard’s Children’s Services took place in in the Minella Hotel Clonmel Sr Rosario Treacy attended as as she was a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a former manager of St Bernard’s Bernard’s Group Homes along with Sr Betty Cagney who had spent over 37 years in in Saint Bernard’s Bernard’s and was the the the last Presentation Sister to work there Mr Noel Howard chairperson of of the the the the the board of of management thanked the the the the the sisters for their untiring work and great vision in in in in in in moving the the the the the children from the the the the the institution in in in in in in in Dundrum in in in in in in in 1975 to three family houses in in in in Fethard on on on on on land owned by by the the the the Presentation Sisters and and funded by the congregation Tossie Lawton retires
Tossie Tossie Tossie Lawton Lawton who had worked in the convent for over 30 years retired on on on June 2 2 2018 The community were very grateful to to Tossie Tossie Page 94
