Kirwan’s retirement the the the the following year marked the the the the end of the the the the sisters’ formal involvement in in in primary school education Through all their endeavours the the the the sisters strove to to embody the the the the ideals of Nano Nagle and to to to promote the the Presentation ethos The Thanksgiving Mass proved to to to be a a a a a most moving ceremony replete with symbolism as as embodied by the the the offertory gifts: the the the lantern representing representing the the the the the flame of of hope and and light brought to to Fethard one hundred and and fifty years ago by the the the the the the the nuns the the the the the the the annals representing representing the the the the the the the the history of of the the the the the the the the order in in in Fethard from 1862 to to the the the the the the the the present present present day the the the the the the the the constitution of of the the the the the the the the Presentation Presentation Congregation representing the the the the the the the the rules and guidelines by which the the the the the sisters sisters live Earlier all the the the the the Presentation Presentation sisters sisters present stood to to to renew their their their vows a a a a a a a a a powerful affirmation of their their their ongoing commitment to to to their their their chosen path The specially– formed choir graced the the the the the occasion with the the the the the most magnificent music so congratulations to Ms Goldie Newport and and the the the the Parish Choir Choir Mrs Mrs Ann Barry and and and the the the Abbey Choir Choir Mrs Mrs Marian Gilpin (recalled from from retirement) and and and and pupils pupils from from from the the Patrician Presentation Secondary School and and and Mrs Rita Kenny and and and pupils pupils from from Holy Trinity National
Girls from Holy Trinity N S S S all of whom would have been in in in school with Sr Sr Maureen and Sr Sr Winnie performed a a a a a a a a a a a lovely liturgical dance apparently a a a a a a first in in our parish church Page 88
