The first draw of the new Community Lotto took place on last Tuesday night in the Fr. Tirry Community Centre. The £2000 Jackpot is a very attractive reason for playing but the most important reason is that you are helping your community to be a better place to live in. We would like to invite helpers, either individuals or organisations, to come along on Tuesday nights to the Tirry Centre at 7pm where the weekly draw will take place.
If you would like to help sell tickets on a rota basis please contact any member of the Community Council or ring Mairead at the Community Information Office. Telephone: 052 31000.

This message was received from Treasa Goodwin, Chairperson New York Young Irelands Camogie Club. "We had to change the date for the International 7-A-Side Tournament here in New York as on speaking to the Camogie Association in Ireland they informed me that all the Junior Camogie Finals are on that weekend so we finalised the date for the 7-A-Side. It's now on August 19th and 20th. Thank you so much for your help."

The County Council have provided a 'skip' for unwanted rubbish in the Ballroom Car Park for the next few days. If you have rubbish to get rid of now is your chance. Please use it also for rubbish not suitable for the bottle recycling bins.

We play Killenaule following our victory over Mullinahone in the league. Another victory would put us in a very strong position to qualify.
On Sunday 16th April, short six of our panel through injury, our team displayed great courage in the much awaited replay against Croom in Kilbeheny by winning 3-11 (2-7) to 2-11 (0-4). Croom with four members of the winning Munster Under 21 football team on display (Mark O'Riordan (man of the match), John Galvin captain), Stephen Lucey and Feanor Lalor) came at us very strong in the second half. We gave a first class display in the first half scoring 2-7 to 0-4 which enabled us to hold out in the end. Our next game is against Listowel (Emmets), date to be arranged. In the under 12 'A' Fethard are at home to Ardfinnan at 7pm on Thursday 20th April in the GAA field.
Our under 16's played Ardfinnan, in Ardfinnan, in their first game. After a very shaky start against a very impressive looking Ardfinnan team, our lads settled down and an Alan Bourke goal gave us some hope. In the second half, against the wind, we had some very good spells with Johnny Needham very impressive. However, Ardfinnan scored some very good points to win deservedly.
Our next game at home against Cahir was a different affair. We started very well but couldn't get the scores. We then missed a great chance of a goal and Cahir scored one. We had an uphill battle to fight and we again improved in the second half, kicking some great scores, but Cahir proved well able to get their scores also and won well in the end. Our most impressive players were Paul Cleary, Gary Williams, Alan Bourke, Nicky Noonan along with midfielders John Needham and Emmet Burke.
This week we are running off the Bro Albert Cup joining up with the under 14's. The first semifinal saw Emmet Burke's team advance to the final. The second semifinal takes place on Wednesday when Chris Doyle's team plays Gary William's team. The final takes place on Saturday 22nd at 6pm in the sportsfield.
